The Many Ministries of Trinity Lutheran
Trinity Lutheran Church has been given one mission, to proclaim God's saving grace to all people. This is done through how we interact with one another and with those who come in contact with us. All of our ministries are focused to extend and uphold this mission through sharing the Good News that Jesus Christ is our Savior. This message flows from the preaching and teaching, music and Bible study, programs for youth and adults, fellowship activities and outreach to different communities.
Worship & Spiritual Care
Spiritual Care MinistryThe Spiritual Care Ministry includes three main areas: Membership Care, Pastoral Care (including wedding coordination and arrangements, and funeral luncheons, arrangements and post funeral care), and Prayer Fellowship Group. This Ministry may enlist the aid and assistance of members and groups from the congregation to assist with these services. UshersUshers help our worshippers to feel comfortable in our worship setting. They guide others by handing out service folders and the church news, giving directions to the bathrooms, collecting the offering, greeting members and visitors, and ushering for communion. Without these folks, our services would be utter chaos! |
Worship Ministry The Worship Ministry includes coordinating and providing all choral and instrumental music for worship services, assuring the Word and Sacraments are provided for at appropriate worship services, providing for lay assistants to serve during worship services, such as Altar Guild members, Ushers, Lay Assistants, Greeters, Readers and Acolytes. This Ministry also coordinates any formal drama presentations, facilitates the taping of worship services, ensures bulletins are available and provides for any decorations for worship services. This Ministry enlists the aid and assistance of congregation members and groups to provide for these services. It welcomes participation from the congregation. |
Music Ministry
Musical Myth Put to RestGreat News! The Commission of Musical Auditorial Advisers (CMAA) has been listening and analyzing the members of Trinity recently and has debunked the myth that there are only 15 singers in the congregation. On the contrary, incoming data reveals that 8 out of every 10 people in the congregation sing! That means there are more of you that can play along (or sing actually) than previously thought. Given this fact, we know there will be a number of you who will want to utilize, sharpen and share their musical vocalization skills and we have just the opportunity for you. Please contact the church office. |
Calling All Music Lovers!Voices of Praise - the adult choir at TLC, is open to all who wish to sing. The choir rehearses about 1 1/2 hours per week, September through May. Please consider joining the choir and adding to our worship services with your voice in song. Contact the church office for additional information. Trinity Bell Choir would love to have YOU join our bell choir this year. The Trinity Ringers practice about 1 hour per week, September through May. Please contact the church office for additional information. |

More Ministries...
GreetersGreeters are vital to our congregational life!! They are the first impression our visitors get of our congregation. We can talk about being a friendly church, but unless we have greeters who can really show that joyful exuberance to our members and visitors, we really won't be a friendly church. Won't you consider becoming a part of this ultimately important task? EducationThis Department is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the ministries and programs of Trinity Lutheran Church that serve the discipleship and spiritual education of all who attend. This Ministry provides for the planning and implementation of programs for all who attend Trinity to help them grow spiritually as God's people in His Church, through worship, education and service. This Ministry also implements, organizes and approves educational programs for the youth of the congregation. The scope of ministry includes programs such as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Youth Confirmation. Altar GuildThe Altar Guild is an organization that prepares the altar for the Lord's Supper. We care for the silver, robes, flowers, candles and linens, as well as seeing that the chancel is clean and in order. The beautification of the church is also one of our responsibilities. We would like anyone who is a member of Trinity to join us. Membership is open to adult women and men. Interested? Join the Altar Guild! |
